A high performer in the ranks of these prestigious and nationally know firms, Carol sought broader education to make her even more valuable to her clients. She augmented her training, embracing Dale Carnegie’s philosophy. Her additional studies included in-depth programs in economics, Finance, property management, legal aspects of real estate, appraisal, investment, 1031 exchanges, taxation and creative financing. She also pursued additional licensing, including the prestigious “CRS” Certified Residential Specialist designation – a valuable certification held by fewer than 5% of all real estate professionals in the US today.

A high energy achiever, Carol soon outgrew her rented desk space and purchased Smothers Realty, establishing Carol Butler Realty. Having specialized in vacation homes as well as city homes, the acquisition of her own real estate firm now allowed for her big ideas to bloom into bigger realities. Today Carol Butler Realty consistently controls over 85% of all sales in the American River Canyon, a record she has maintained year after year.
